It helps enormously if you include your Chrome version, the page you were capturing, and what you expected instead.
Try a different mode — Readable, Full page and Selection extract very differently, and some sites only behave under one of them. Sites that render late may need a moment before you capture.
Run offprint activate <key> with the key from your purchase email. One
licence covers two machines. The extension itself never needs a licence and never will.
Run offprint doctor. It checks the whole chain and names the broken link. It is
free and works without a licence, on purpose — diagnosing a broken install should never
require having paid for it.
That warning is caused by the debugger permission, which exists for one feature: a full-page screenshot of the whole scroll height, which Chrome allows no other way. It is attached for the moment of the capture and detached immediately after. The privacy page explains it in full.
