Offprint — Support

One person answers this. Usually within a day.

Email marcusvanesveld@gmail.com and say what happened. There is no ticket system and no bot.

It helps enormously if you include your Chrome version, the page you were capturing, and what you expected instead.

Before you write

A capture came out empty or wrong

Try a different mode — Readable, Full page and Selection extract very differently, and some sites only behave under one of them. Sites that render late may need a moment before you capture.

The terminal command says a licence is required

Run offprint activate <key> with the key from your purchase email. One licence covers two machines. The extension itself never needs a licence and never will.

The terminal command cannot reach the browser

Run offprint doctor. It checks the whole chain and names the broken link. It is free and works without a licence, on purpose — diagnosing a broken install should never require having paid for it.

Chrome warned about reading and changing all your data

That warning is caused by the debugger permission, which exists for one feature: a full-page screenshot of the whole scroll height, which Chrome allows no other way. It is attached for the moment of the capture and detached immediately after. The privacy page explains it in full.

Refunds

If Offprint PRO does not do what you expected, email me and I will refund it. Purchases go through Polar, who handle the money.
